Sheriff's Report: Air Conditioner Stolen; Argument Ends in Stabbing

The following information was provided by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department.

High Ridge Boulevard. High Ridge

A cooler compressor and an air conditioning unit were stolen from a business on High Ridge Boulevard, High Ridge between Nov. 23 and Nov. 25. The value of the equipment was set at $8,100. An employeee of the Northeast Sewer District who was working on a sewer problem at the business on Nov. 24 said he noticed the cooler compressor was missing, but the air conditioner was still there.

An argument between two men Monday at a residence on Shelly Drive, High Ridge, resulted in a stabbing and an arrest. The suspect, who deputies said had a knife in his pocket, said he and the victim were arguing when the victim grabbed him and started to choke him. The suspect said he stabbed the man in the side and in the head as he was being choked. The man with the knife was arrested.
