Employees of the year announced by Sheriff Oliver "Glenn" Boyer
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Department announced its employees of the year for 2012, based on votes by their peers. Sheriff Oliver “Glenn” Boyer made the announcement in a news release Wednesday.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department employees of the year for 2012 are:
Deputy Sheriff of the Year, Virgil Seiberg

Deputy Seiberg has been a member of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department since 1999 and currently is assigned to the South Zone Office.
Commissioned Supervisor of the Year, Corporal Scott Poe

Corporal Poe has been a member of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department since 1998 and is currently assigned to the North Zone Office.
Support Services Deputy of the Year, Melissa Day
Deputy Melissa Day has been a member of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department since 2001 and currently is assigned to prisoner transport.
Corrections Officer of the Year, Andrew Godi
Corrections Officer Godi has been a member of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department since 2010 and currently is assigned to the Jail Division.
Clerical Employee of the Year, Sally Riggs
Sally Riggs has been as member of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department since 2000 and currently is assigned to the Jail Division.
Employees of the Year are selected from candidates who were voted as Employees of the Month during 2012. Employees are nominated from each division in the agency and selected by a vote of their peers during the monthly Employee Advisory Council meetings established by Sheriff Boyer.
