Pure Evil Motorcycle Damaged in Theft Attempt

Two motorcycles sustain damage in attempted thefts from driveways in Fenton

A woman reported to the sheriff's department that her 2009 custom motorcycle, called Pure Evil, was taken from her driveway on Frontier Trail, Fenton. She told a deputy that she later saw the motorcycle at the corner of Frontier Trail and Old Gravois Road and that the gas tank, right brake handle, seat and wiring had been damaged. She estimated the damage at $1,200. Deputies canvassed the area to locate possible witnesses, but none were found.

A similar motorcycle theft, this time a 2009 Yamaha Venture, occurred in the same July 3-4 time frame on Golda Lane, Fenton. A man reported the theft of the Yamaha from his driveway and later located it at Golda Lane and Old Gravois Rd. The man told a deputy the right headlight and front cowl had been damaged. He estimated the damage at $1,000. As in the Frontier Trail incident, a canvass of the area produced no witnesses to the theft.

A residential air conditioner and miscellaneous construction equipment were stolen June 28-29 from an unoccupied home On Golda Lane, Fenton. The home was listed for sale. The stolen items, valued at $3,700 included an Emble air conditioner, a Bostich jackhammer, a Bosch rotating hammer, two Sendco framing nailers and two six-foot steel carpenter levels. Entry to the The forced entry to the home was made through a rear door. The air conditioner was located six feet above ground on the west side of the home. The tools were located in the garage.
