Police Chase Man Back and Forth Through Fenton Creek

Weekly incidents investigated by the St. Louis County Police Department, Fenton Precinct

The following information was provided by the St. Louis County Police Department, Fenton Precinct.

Fenton police were investigating a pair of suspects in a vehicle May 9 in the parking lot of Walmart, 653 Gravois Bluffs Blvd., and as the officer was returning to the suspects' car, the passenger ran from the vehicle through heavy brush and into Fenton Creek. The man crossed the creek several times but eventually was captured. He told police "I used by brother's name, but the rest is right. Damn, I'm exhausted." The man had multiple warrants for his arrest and was arrested.

A woman concealed jewelry in her pants pocket May 20 at Kohl's, 115 Gravois Bluffs Plaza, then left the store without paying. She was issued a summons.

A woman concealed clothing in her purse May 8 at Gordman's, 687 Gravois Bluffs Blvd., and left the store without paying. A summons was issued.

A man was arrested, suspected of cruelty abuse to animals, after police said he literally kicked a dog out of his hotel room for defecating on the floor May 7 at the Rodeway Inn, 1860 Bowles Ave. The dog had minor cuts but otherwise was OK, police said.
