Police Arrest Man After 4 Hour Standoff

Police say the man was caught in the middle of burglarizing a home on Legacy Circle in Fenton.

One man is in custody after a four-hour standoff in Fenton that required assistance from the St. Louis County SWAT Team.

It started Thursday night on Legacy Circle near Bowles Ave.

A burglar alarm went off around 10:30 p.m. Police responded and found a man refusing to come out of the home.

St. Louis County Police said the man is the 25-year-old son of the woman who lives at the address, according to Fox 2 News.  Police also said the woman has a restraining order against the man and he should not have been there.

The woman was not home at the time and the department's SWAT Team was called in after four hours of the situation being deadlocked.

Police said SWAT was given a key to the house and went into the home and arrested the man. He went willingly and no one was hurt.
