More Than $14,000 in Cash, Jewelry and Electronics Stolen From High Ridge Home

Rock Creek Road, High Ridge
Cash, gold jewelry and electronics, valued at $14,317, were stolen July 17-18 from a home on Rock Creek Road in High Ridge. Missing was $2,000 in cash (all $100 bills), a 14K gold watch, three gold rings, two gold bracelets, a Dell laptop computer, 10 iPad Touch devices, two Gillette electric shavers, three Gillette electric shaver refills, approximately 50 CDs and a key ring containing the victim's keys.

The homeowner said he had been sleeping while a houseguest entertained several people at the home. Upon waking up, the homeowner discovered the guest and his friends had left, and the homeowner noticed the items were missing. A witness told the sheriff's department that the guest had left the home with a brown suitcase and several other bags. The witness also said the guest admitted to having taken the keys to the victim's home, motorcycle and multiple vehicles. An investigation is ongoing.

A semi-automatic pistol was reported stolen between July 14-16 from a home on Thoreau Trail in High Ridge. The pistol is described as a blue steel Ruger P95 9mm caliber, valued at $350. The homeowner told the sheriff's department that a friend, who was a houseguest, admitted to stealing the weapon.
