Missing Purse, Pistol and When Golf Carts Attack

The following information was provided by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department.

Countryside Circle, Fenton

A woman's daughter is suspected of stealing her mother's purse Aug. 19 at a home on Countryside Circle. The purse was reported as containing $1,420 in cash, several prescription medications and car keys. The daughter had been living with her mother at the address for a short time. The mother reported that she woke woke up to find her purse missing and her daughter sneaking out through a bedroom window. The mother could not provide an address for her daughter for deputies, but said she stays in Illinois or the City of St. Louis.

A man who was rehabbing an apartment building he had just purchased on Mt. Everest Drive in Fenton reported on Aug. 23 a broken rear window and drywall damage inside from copper pipe being pulled from bathroom walls and from a water heater. A cordless drill and charger and a cordless grinder also were missing. The value of the property and damage was set at $5,000. Deputies were able to lift fingerprints from the window where entry to the building was made, but were unable to locate any neighbors who had seen any suspicious activity at the apartment building.

Country Club Drive, High Ridge

A golfer at , 5224 Country Club Dr., High Ridge, said a man tried to run him over with a golf cart Aug 23 following a brief argument. The victim said he was able to jump out of the way to avoid contact with the front bumper of the golf cart, but said he was struck by the cart's windshield and was thown 10 to 15 feet. The victim stated he got up and attempted to leave. However, the suspect followed him, taking the victim's 3-wood golf club and breaking it into two pieces. The suspect also took the man's driver and attempted to strike him with it. The victim said the suspect also grabbed his golf bag from the back of the golf cart, damaging it in the process. The value of the damaged equipment was set at $650. The suspect eventually fled. Deputies were unable to contact him at his residence

Raw Winds Drive, High Ridge

A man reported a pistol missing from his daughter's closet Aug. 23 where he said he secured it the night before. He reported that nothing else was missing from the residence and that his home is never left unlocked.The missing pistol is a black Jericho .45-caliber ACP pistol.
