Man Wearing Woman's Wig Robs US Bank in High Ridge

Bank robber got away with an undisclosed amount of money

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Department responded Friday to a robbery call from US Bank, which is located inside the Schnuck's Market at #21 Dillon Plaza, High Ridge.

Deputies were told an African American man approached a bank teller and produced a note which indicated he had a weapon. He did not display the weapon, however, according to the deputy's report.

The man then left the bank on foot in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of cash. The man, who is still at large, is described as 5-foot-7 to six feet in height, about 30-40 years of age and was wearing medical-type scrubs, a wig and a black hooded sweatshirt. The deputy's report indicated the man was attempting to disguise himself as a woman.
