Man Steals Speakers, Kid's Swing Set

Creek Drive, Fenton

A man who was walking to his house Sept. 2 on Creek Drive, Fenton, noticed a man walking across the street with the speakers from inside his house. As it turns out, the man also had removed a kid's swing set from the homeowner's yard and placed it in his vehicle. Both the speakers and the swing set were recovered by sheriff's deputies and returned to the homeowner. The suspect was located across the street and arrested.

Rock Creek Valley Road, High Ridge

Someone entered a home Aug. 31 on Rock Creek Valley Road through an unlocked front basement window, rifled through a dining room closet and stole several items, including a floor scrubber, a television, a mattress, a bed frame, and  sewing machine.

During an initial investigation sheriff's deputies learned from a neighbor had seen a blue or purple compact pickup truck in the driveway with a truck bed full of items. A sheriff's deputy reported that the victim's grandson, who lives at the residence, has an acquaintance with a matching vehicle, but the deputy was unable to make contact with the acquaintance.

Lake Drive, Fenton

Various electronics and other items were stolen Sept. 1 from a home on Lake Drive, Fenton. Missing were a DVD player, a digital converter, 150 DVDs, a kitchen trash can and a Straight Talk pre-paid cell phone. The value of the items was set at $785.Entry to the home was made through the back door which had been locke but, according to the sheriff's deputy report, was easy to pull away from the door frame even when locked

Creek Drive, Fenton

Erb Industrial Ct., Fenton

Thieves entered Erb Equipment Co. 200 Erb Industrial Ct., Fenton on Sept. 3 through a chain link fence and took two John Deere Gator vehicles, loading them up with assorted tools from the business. The thieves then tried to ram an outer chain link fence but the Gator became lodged in the fence spilling the tools and damaging some of them. The second Gator was able to get outside the fence by using the hole made by the first. The thieves then fled the area. The cost of the items and the property damage was set at $27,600. Video surveillance video was taken but was not immediately available to be burned onto a DVD.  Sheriff's deputies located the bolt cutters used in the break-in and submitted it and piece of the chain link fence for DNA testing. The investigation is ongoing.

Caliph Drive, Fenton

Someone pried open the driver's window of a vehicle between Sept. 2-3 on Caliph Drive, Fenton, and stole 36 30mg tablets of Oxycontin and 82 15mg tablets of Oxycodone, as well as a Straight Talk pre-paid cell phone and charger.
