Man Charged in Connection With Fenton Business Debit Card Theft

The 19 year old allegedly entered a Fenton business, stole a debit card from a work truck, unsuccessfully tried to use it at a nearby gas station and then returned the card to the truck.

A 19-year-old Mehlville man has been charged in connection with a debit card theft from a Fenton business

Lorenzo Tijerina, of the 4900 block of Sherbane, has been charged with second-degree burglary for the Oct. 7 incident by the Jefferson County Prosecutor's Office.

Tijerina allegedly entered a a business in the 100 block of Sun Valley Circle and removed a debit card from a work truck, according to court documents. After several unsuccessful attempts to use the card, he returned it to the truck.

Second-degree burglary is a class C felony and carries with it a punishment of up to one year in jail or one to 7 years in a state prison and/or up to a $5,000 fine.
