Man Breaks Into Home, Steals Shotgun, Diapers

Edward Court, High Ridge

A shotgun and a package of infant diapers were stolen Sept. 15 from a home on Edward Court, High Ridge. A woman reported to sheriff's deputies that someone entered her home through an unsecured rear door and stole a Remington 12-gauge shotgun, an X-Box game system and a package of infant diapers. The homeowner told sheriff's deputies the rear door does not lock.

A man attempted to steal a television Sept. 13 from a business on Ridgepoint Drive, High Ridge but put it back on a shelf and left the store after being confronted by a store employee. Sheriff's deputies were able to locate the man and his vehicle on Dulin Creek Road. He was arrested.

Old Highway 141

On Sept. 15, while a clerk was in the cooler in the back of a store on Old Highway 141 on , Fenton, a man stole 34 three-gram bags of synthetic marijuana. The female employee of the store shouted at the man when she observed another man near the cash register. she was able to front door before the men could flee. A wrestling and shoving match ensued and, with the help of a customer, the clerk was able to contain one man in the store, although the other man got away. One man was arrested, but sheriff's deputies were unable to locate the man who fled.
