Items Stolen From Unattended Vehicle at Day Care Center

Weekly incident report reported by the St. Louis County Police Department Fenton Precinct.

  • The following information was reported by the :

Police Officer Aaron Dilks offers a timely heads up for those dropping off their kids at day care: "Do you just run inside real quick when you drop your kids off at day care?   And you leave your car running, purse in the passenger seat, cell phone in the cup holder?   Yeah… criminals know too."

And now for the weekly incident report:

Someone watched a woman as she dropped off her child April 5 at , 570 S. Highway Dr., leaving her vehicle unattended. Various items were stolen from the unlocked vehicle. An investigation is ongoing.
A woman concealed clothes in her purse April 1 at then left the store without paying. She was issued a summons.

  • A woman was arrested April 2 after concealing make-up in her purse at , 653 Gravois Bluffs Blvd., and leaving the store without paying.
  • After a man turned in an job application April 2 at 331 Skinker Lane, he stole money from behind the counter. A summons was issued.
  • A 74-year-old man was found dead in his vehicle April 4 in the parking lot of , 45 Gravois Road. 
  • A summons was issued April 6 to a woman who concealed clothing in her purse at , 137 Gravois Bluffs Plaza, and left the store without paying.
  • Two women concealed alcohol in their purses April 6 at , 45 Gravois Bluffs Plaza, and left the store without paying. They were issued summonses.
  • A woman concealed miscellaneous items in her purse and in a Walmart plastic bag at , 652 Gravois Bluffs Blvd., and exited the store without paying. She was arrested.
  • A man concealed merchandise in his jacket pockets April 7 at , 45 Gravois Bluffs Plaza, and left the store without paying. He was arrested.
  • A man stole two fish bowls and two artificial plants April 7 from 149 Gravois Bluffs Plaza.  After an employee contacted the man on the parking lot he ran to his vehicle and sped away.  An investigation is ongoing.
