Willows Creek Drive, Fenton

A 32-inch Element flatscreen TV was stolen May 11-12 from a home on Willows Creek Drive,  Fenton. It was valued at $198.

The sheriff's report stated the homeowner said someone entered the home through a rear door and stole the TV. She said she and her husband had been gone for the weekend and when they returned they found the rear door standing open and the TV in the master bedroom missing. There was a hole in the door, accessible to the deadbolt lock that someone had unlocked

The homeowner also said the last person to be in the home was her daughter, who had lived in the residence until about a month prior to the theft. The homeowner said her daughter did not have permission to be in the residence. A neighbor, who had been taking care of the dog while the homeowners were away, had let the daughter in the home and said she left with nothing but her own clothes.

The neighbor told a sheriff's deputy he believes the daughter left the rear door open and came back at a later time. The incident is still under investigation.
