High Ridge Woman Killed in Crash on Old Sugar Creek Road

Passenger sustained serious injuries and was airlifted from the accident scene.

One woman was killed and another seriously injured in a one-car crash on Old Sugar Creek Road Monday.

Billie J. Grass, 41, of High Ridge, was traveling south on Old Sugar Creek Road at 7:35 p.m. when her vehicle failed to negotiate a curve to the right, near Chott Drive, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol. The vehicle crossed the center line and then ran off the left side of the road. The passenger side of the vehicle stuck a tree and then struck another tree head on. Grass was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. A passenger, Emily M. Yowell, 32, of Fenton, was seriously injured and was airlifted to Mercy Medical Center, Creve Coeur.
