High Ridge Man Seriously Injured in Fatal Car Accident
Head on collision along I-55 the result of a wrong-way driver on the interstate.
A 34-year-old man was seriously injured in a fatal car accident along Interstate 55 in Ste. Genevieve County on Wednesday.
Thad Thurman, 34, of High Ridge, was driving southbound on I-55, near the 144 mile marker, when his car was struck head-on by a car that had been driving northbound in the southbound lane of the interstate.
The driver of the car going the wrong way was identified as Kenneth Sullivan of Van Buren. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Thurman was taken to Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis by helicopter. His condition is unknown at this time.
