High Ridge Man Charged with Child Molestation

Jeremy Ray Hobbs was charged with felony child molestation after police say he sexually assaulted a 5-year-old boy.

A High Ridge man ha been charged with a crime against a young child.

Jeremy Ray Hobbs was charged with felony child molestation after police  say he sexually assaulted a 5-year-old boy.

Police said Hobbs, 33, of the 5800 block of Stieren Drive, carried out the acts at the boy's  home in Troy, Mo. The boy told police the incidents happened "too many times to count" and Hobbs had promised to provide him with drinks if he didn't tell anyone.

One of the boys' siblings saw Hobbs and the boy on their parents bed watching a movie and became suspicious about the situation. The boy told police he quickly returned to the room to find the boy trying to buckle up his pants.

Hobbs was being held in the Lincoln County Jail Wednesday on a $50,000 cash-only bail.
