High Ridge Firehouse 5K Run Set For March 9

The walk/run is designed to promote physical fitness and benefit Touchstone Autism Services.

The Second annual FireHouse 5K, hosted by the High Ridge Fire Protection District is planned for Saturday, March 9.  The fun walk/run that will benefit Touchstone Autism Services, a Missouri-based company that strives to be a single touch point for hope and help to families impacted by autism. and will highlight the importance of physical activity and fitness.  There were about 300 participants last year at the inaugural Firehouse5K event and more than $5,000 was raised for Touchpoint, a Missouri-based company that strives to be a single touch point for hope and help to families impacted by autism. Touchpoint serves more than 2,800 individuals in 95 counties across Missouri.

The High Ridge firefighters hope to inspire more physical fitness within the community and raise funds for a good cause in our area.

The March 9 race starts at the firehouse at 2842 High Ridge Blvd. and proceeds west on the boulevard following an air horn start from the firehouse engine room. A refreshment stand will be located at the midpoint of the race.
