High Ridge 12-Year-Old in Serious Condition After Pedestrian Accident

Isabella Marco was riding her bike when she was struck by a vehicle traveling in the same lane on Wednesday afternoon.

A High Ridge girl was transported to the hospital in serious condition after being hit by a car in Jefferson County Wednesday afternoon.

12-year-old Isabella Marco was riding her bike on West Rock Creek Road around 2:20 p.m., according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report. Marco was traveling eastbound in the westbound lane. As she rounded a curve west of Romaine Creek Road, she was struck head-on by a car driven by Joyce Eshelman, of St. Louis.

Marco was transported to the St. Louis Children's Hospital, according to the crash report.
