Guns, More Guns, Auto Theft and a Brick Wall

The following information was provided by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department.

Spring Valley Drive, Fenton

A woman was arrested June 14 followng the theft of a 2000 GMC Yukon and a burglary from a residence on Spring Valley Drive, Fenton. Sheriff's deputies gave the following report: After initially responding to a report of a auto theft at Spring Valley Drive, deputies later were dispatched to Gail Drive in Imperial where a witness spotted a woman hiding underneath a vehicle in his garage. The stolen Yukon was parked nearby. When witness challenged the woman, she fled the area in the stolen Yukon, which later was found abandoned and stripped of its license plates. During a canvass of the neighborhood deputies spotted the woman walking in the neighborhood. She had the Yukon keys in her purse, as well as narcotics and items from the garage where she had been hiding. Other stolen items also were found in the woman's purse.

Delores and West Lakewood Drive, Fenton

Sometime overnight between June 13 and June 14, a lighted, brick wall entrance sign to the Fond Du Lac subdivision at Delores and West Lakewood drives in Fenton was destroyed by a car that crashed into it. Tire tracks were observed approaching and departing the sign, which is estimated to cost $5,000 to rebuild.

Rainbow Drive, High Ridge

Sheriff's deputies have a suspect in a daytime burglary June 14 from a residence on Rainbow Drive in High Ridge. Stolen were a Playstation 3 video game console, a Playstation 2 video game console, unknown number of Blu-Ray high definition movies. Total value of the items were estimated at $650.

Del Haven Drive, Fenton

A man was charged with assault and the unlawful use of a weapon June 15 after he pointed a BB pistol at the head of another man during an argument before firing it into the ground. Both men were intoxicated. Deputies eventually located the suspect, who produced the BB gun, which was seized as evidence.

Country Club Drive, High Ridge

A man was arrested June 16 after grabbing a co-worker at Sugar Creek Golf Course, High Ridge and pointing a weapon in his face as he threatened to kill him. Sheriff's deputies were called and were interviewing the victim when the suspect returned. After being taken into custody deputies found pills in the man's pocket. The gun was recovered from a friend's home nearby.

Boxwood Drive, High Ridge

A gray 1996 Saturn was stolen between June 14-16 from a home on Boxwood Drive, High Ridge.

High Ridge Boulevard, High Ridge

Three men were arguing at a business June 18 on High Ridge Boulevard, High Ridge when one of the men threw a hammer and aluminum cans at another man, who was African American. The intended victim was not struck by the items and the suspects drove off. The men later returned, started another argument, again threw aluminum cans at the victim, shouted racial slurs and drove off again. Deputies were able to obtain license tag information on the suspects but have been unable to make contact with them.
