Guitars Stolen After Girlfriend Receives Texted Eviction Notice

The following information was provided by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department.

Beverly Ann Drive, Fenton

While the occupants of a home on Beverly Ann Drive, Fenton, were asleep upstairs on April 20, a burglar broke into the car in their driveway and used a garage door opener to enter the home and steal a number of items, including the ignition key to a 1965 Cushman Supereagle motorcycle. Also missing were a DVD player, an angle grinder, a credit card, a debit card, $300 in cash and the garage door opener.

Although the homeowner could not provide any suspect information, he said it was likely someone familiar with his household since his dog recently had died.

Fiedler Court, Fenton

Several guitars and electronics were stolen from an apartment on Fiedler Court, Fenton, after a man texted his girlfriend that he wanted her to move out. Discovered missing were a black electric bass guitar with stripes cut out of the body, a gold Fender Squire electric guitar and a black acoustic Silvertone guitar. Also missing were a 42-inch Toshiba flatscreen TV, a Toshiba flatscreen computer, a cable Internet modem and bottles of amoxicillin and methadone prescription drugs.

The victim said his girlfriend, who had stayed with him for a few weeks, had become angry after he texted her that he wanted her to leave. When he returned home April 20 he discovered the apartment door had been kicked in and the items were missing. The girlfriend is a suspect in the burglary.

Matthews Drive, Fenton

A woman discovered April 19 that car stereo equipment, valued at $600, had been stolen from her unlocked Hyundai Tiburon overnight. Missing were a carpeted speaker box containing two Rockford Punch Z, 10-inch subwoofers and 350 amplifier. There are no suspects in the case.

High Ridge Boulevard, High Ridge

A 53-foot, white Vanline trailer was discovered missing April 20 from a business on High Ridge Boulevard. There are no suspects in the case.

Raven Point Drive, High Ridge

Auto theft and property damage was the result after a pickup truck was stolen and used to drive through yards in the Country Club of Sugar Creek and Paradise Valley Estates subdivisions in High Ridge on March 31 and April 1. Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of the theft of a 2007 Dodge Ram pickup truck from a residence at 4425 Raven Point Drive. They discovered numerous items missing from various vehicles in the area, in addition to the property damage. More than $38,000 in property damage was estimated as a result of the incident. Deputies arrested one suspect in the case.
