On Feb. 14 deputies responded to what was later called a suspicious fire  at a trailer home on Green Creek Drive in Fenton. Deputies consulted with the fire marshal of the Saline Valley Fire Department who was on the scene of a first alarm fire. The kitchen of the trailer home was ablaze. Deputies said that after the fire was extinguished, the fire marshal said two pour patterns were viewed in the living room and that two gas cans were located inside the residence.  The fire marshal said no one was located in the trailer home when the fire department arrived. Deputies said a witness identified a person who had left the trailer 15 minutes before smoke was seen coming from the trailer. Another witness identified the same person as leaving the area in a white station wagon about five minutes before the main office at the trailer park received a call about the fire. The case was turned over to the detective bureau for further investigation.
