Fenton Woman Injured After Driving Car Into Creek
The woman failed to negotiate a curve before driving into the creek in Hillsboro.
A 50-year-old woman from Fenton sustained moderate injuries after she accidentally drove her car into a creek in Hillsboro early Tuesday morning.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Joyce Wittmann was driving westbound on Jarvis Road when she failed to negotiate a turn, traveled off the right side of the road, struck an embankment and then drove into a nearby creek.
Police responded to the accident and found Wittmann with moderate injuries. She was transported to Mercy Jefferson Hospital via ambulance.

According to the highway patrol, Wittmann was not wearing a safety device, although it is unknown if that meant she wasn't wearing a seat belt.
Wittmann's 2001 Ford Ranger was totaled during the accident.
