Fenton Woman Charged With Fraud in Obtaining Prescription Med

A Fenton woman is accused of trying to fraudulently get a hydrocodone prescription filled at a pharmacy.

Morgan E. Helman, 22, of Fenton was charged May 28 with fraudulently obtaining a controlled substance.

St. Louis County Police said Helman used an old prescription, forged it and brought it to the Walgreens in Fenton at 1001 Bowles Avenue at 7:08 p.m. March 19.

Pharmacy workers notified police and she was arrested.

Bail was set at $5,000, but Helman was released on her own personal recognizance May 31 after being arrested earlier that day.
