Fenton Pawn Shop Latest Victim in St. Louis Area Smash and Grabs

An unknown suspect took thousands in jewelry from Fenton Pawn Shop & Jewelry Store on Gravois Road.

The Fenton Pawn Shop & Jewelry Store, 400 Gravois Rd., was robbed of around $15,000 in jewelry early Thursday morning in a smash and grab, our partners at FOX2 report.

Surveillance footage shows the suspect, a man wearing a long-sleeved blue shirt and blue shorts, completing the heist in around 30 seconds, according to the report.

No customer merchandise was taken, according to FOX2.

Over the past month the St. Louis area has seen a variety of smash and grab incidents. But thieves aren't just targeting jewelry and cash--they're also setting their sights on TVs, cell phones, hair extensions and "whatever items is displayed in the window," according to one KMOV report.
