A Fenton man died in a car accident Monday afternoon.
Russell L. Mewlin, 31, was killed in a two-vehicle crash near westbound Highway 364 at Bennington Place, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol.
Mewlin was driving a pickup truck on 364 at about 3:25 p.m. when he lost control while attempting a lane change.
The right side of his truck hit the front of a sedan in the next lane. The truck overturned, struck a guardrail and Mewlin was ejected.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the highway patrol.
A Harvester man was driving the other vehicle. He is 44 year old Charles Anderson. He was not injured.
