Rodney Bellew, 34, of the 300 block of Mt. Everest Drive in Fenton, has been charged with second-degree domestic assault.

A Fenton man faces charges of domestic assault after police say he choked, punched, kicked and bit his wife in their home.

Rodney Bellew, 34, of the 300 block of Mt. Everest Drive in Fenton, has been charged with second-degree domestic assault, a class C felony, according to a court document filed on June 3.

Jefferson County Sheriff's Department officers say Bellew assaulted his wife in their home, where he "choked her until she became unconscious, and repeatedly punched, kicked, bit and spit on her," the court document notes.

Police arrived to the home on June 2 for a disturbance call. That's when police found "a large amount of injuries, including bruises, bite marks, and abrasions," notes a court document.
