F.O.O.L.S. for Washers Raise Funds for Backstoppers

Firefighters from around the area gathered in Fenton Thursday to participate in the 2nd annual F.O.O.L.S. Washers Tournament, an event designed to be a fundraiser for Backstoppers

Firefighters from all over the area showed up at Thursday to show their prowess at the backyard game of washers. A Washers Tournament was sponsored by F.O.O.L.S., a firefighter fraternal organization.

The event was designed to raise funds for Backstoppers and was in memory of Fenton firefighter Steven Grimes, who lost a battle with leukemia last year. The refreshments were as plentiful Thursday night as the washer-tossing techniques displayed by the participants.
