Elderly Couple Injured in Jefferson County Crash

The Fenton residents were both transported to a nearby hospital.

Three Fenton residents were involved in a car accident in Jefferson County on Tuesday, sending two of them to the hospital.

A Ford Taurus driven by 86-year-old William Stethem was facing eastbound in a private driveway on Northwest Boulevard. When he pulled onto the road, the passenger side of the car was struck by a southbound vehicle driven by 28-year-old Erica Cook, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

Stethem and his wife, Maude, 84, were transported to St. Clare Hospital with minor injuries. Their vehicle was totaled. Cook's vehicle sustained moderate damages, according to the report.
