Drunk Driver Sentenced in Death of Jefferson County Road Worker

A man who hit and killed a road worker in Jefferson County in 2011 has been sentenced to 30 days in jail and a $10,000 fine, St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. 

Steven Mitchell pleaded guilty to aggravated endangerment  drunk driving and careless driving last week, according to the report. 

Mitchell was also sentenced to two years of probation in the death of Jorge Carranza, Jr., according to Post-Dispatch. Read the full story.
