Driver Runs Red Light, Sends Two to Hospital

Three cars were involved in the accident in Fenton on Sunday.

Three Fenton residents were involved in a car accident at Hwy 30 and Delores Drive on Sunday, sending two to the hospital.

56-year-old Edward Amrein failed to stop his Hyundai at a traffic light at the intersection around 10:15 a.m., traveling in front of an oncoming vehicle driven by Jason Mitchell, 42, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report. The front of Mitchell's car struck the side of the Hyundai. Both cars then struck a a Ford Explorer driven by 31-year-old Tabetha Miller, and the Hyundai left the road.

Amrein was transported to St. Anthony's Medical Center in serious condition. His vehicle was totaled. 

Mitchell was also transported to the hospital with minor injuries, according to the report.

All three drivers were wearing their seat belts.
