Doberman Stolen From Inside Home While Owner Was Away

The following information was provided by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department.

Bridleton Woods Dr., Fenton

A miniature Doberman Pinscher was stolen Dec. 22 from a home on Bridleton Woods Dr., Fenton. The homeowner reported that she head left the dog unsecured inside the house at 5:30 p.m. and when she returned at 7:30 p.m. she discovered it missing. No items had been tampered with and nothing else was missing. The woman told deputies she was uncertain whether the front door had been locked, but it was shut when she returned home.

Emerald Drive, High Ridge

Electronics equipment and other property was stolen sometime between Nov. 28 and Dec. 23 from a home on Emerald Drive in High Ridge. The homeowner, who is an over-the-road truck driver, said the home had been vacant for 30 days. When he arrived home on Dec. 23 he discovered the front door was ajar and several items missing, including a Playstation 3 80-Gigabyte video game console, a black leather compact disk Holder filled with 300 miscellaneous CDs, a  Toshiba 17-inch laptop computer, a Kenwood amplifier, and a Panasonic video recorder.

A man who was arrested for attempting to steal two packages of batteries from a store in Crossroads Place Plaza, High Ridge Boulevard, High Ridge, was discovered to have drugs and drug paraphernalia in his pockets. The man left the store with a four-pack of AA batteries and a two-pack of 123 batteries when he was detained by security. During a search of the man's pants pockets by deputies, two envelopes containing a white powdery substance and an empty syringe with a cap and plug were discovered. He was arrested and taken to Jefferson County jail.
