Car Chase Ends in Fenton, St. Louis Police Officer Bitten by K-9 Dog

A suspected stolen vehicle led St. Louis Police on a 20-mile chase on Thursday morning.

St. Louis Police chased a stolen car across St. Louis County overnight, ending with an arrest here in Fenton and one injury to an officer--via their K-9 dog.

Police spotted a stolen car near Interstate 70 in north St. Louis they believe could be connected to area vehicle break-ins, according to KMOV. The pursuit lasted more than 20 miles, according to the report, and ended on May Valley Drive in Fenton.

The police officer was bitten by the a St. Louis County K-9 during the search for the suspect, according to the report.

The dog attacked because the St. Louis officer was dressed in plain clothes, according to CBS. St. Louis.
