Burglar Steals Two Duffle Bags, Leaves Backpacks Behind

The incident happened off of Old Highway 141 in Fenton.

Did the Burglar Want to Trade His Bags (and Was the TV Too Heavy)?

Around 10 a.m. on Feb. 18, an unknown person stole two duffle bags containing CDs, earphones and other personal items from a home off of Old Highway 141 in Fenton. The victim later discovered two backpacks near his mailbox, which weren't there before he left his home. Police said the person also moved the TV from the entertainment center to the floor, where it was left. Officers dusted for fingerprints as evidence.

Cash Goes Missing in High Ridge

Sometime between Feb. 19-23, $550 in cash was taken from a home on Cleo Court in High Ridge. The money was stashed in a bedroom closet. The victim notified police that the thief may have been a dog groomer who he previously hired. An investigation is ongoing.
