Beef Stew, Ravioli, Wing Dings on Shoplifting Menu

The following information was provided by the St. Louis County Police Department Fenton Precinct.

Fenton Plaza

A woman was arrested June 2 for stealing under $500 and destruction of property at the Family Dollar store in the first block of Fenton Plaza. Police said the intoxicated woman opened a can of Dinty Moore Beef Stew and Chef Boyardee Ravioli and began eating them while in the store. She then spilled the ravioli on 10 towels and washcloths and then left the store without paying. As officers were at the store taking a report of the incident she returned and approached the officers, asking for a ride to visit her husband at the hospital.

A man was arrested June 9 for stealing under $500 at the Walmart store in the 600 block of Gravois Bluffs Boulevard. The suspect left the store without paying for a pocket knife and razor blades hidden in his pocket. He also had $150 cash in
his wallet, police said.

A man was arrested June 7 for stealing under $500 at the Walmart store in the 600 block of Gravois Bluffs Boulevard. Police said the man left the store while making no attempts to pay for Chicken Wing Dings. During a search, cologne, shower gel and bug repellant were found concealed in his pant's waistband.

Two people were arrested June 3 for stealing under $500 and possession of marijuana at the Kohl's store in the 100 block of Gravois Bluffs Boulevard. The suspects left the store without paying for miscellaneous merchandise and during a search marijuana and additional stolen clothing from the Gordman’s store were found in the suspects' vehicle.

Someone stole a 2004 Harley-Davidson “Fat Boy” motorcycle June 6 from the parking lot of the Lowe's store in the first block of Gravois Bluffs Boulevard. Police continue to investigate the theft of the black and chrome motorcycle.

A man was arrested June 4 for stealing under $500 and trespassing at the
Walmart store in the 600 block of Gravois Bluffs Boulevard. Police said the man took an ice cream sandwich and granola bars from the shelf and then ate them while shopping. He left the store without paying for the food he ate and it was  later determined he was previously banned from all Wal-Mart properties due to a stealing incident in Kirkwood, police said.

A Crisis Intervention Team incident was reported June 3 at the Kohl's store in
the 100 block of Gravois Bluffs Boulevard. Police said a homeless suspect was stealing a new change of clothes and made no attempts to pay as he walked out the door wearing his new outfit. The man threatened suicide and later taken to St. John's Mercy Medical Center for psychological evaluation, police said.

A man was arrested May 31 for stealing over $500 at the Walmart store in the
600 block of Gravois Bluffs Boulevard. Police said the man took a kitchen trash can from the housewares department and placed it in his shopping cart. He suspect then selected 23 bottles of liquor, valued at $723, hid them in the trash can and replaced the trash can to its original location. The man then left the store but re-entered the store, selected the full trash can and left the store without paying.

A man was arrested for robbery May 29 at the Walmart store in the 600 block of
Gravois Bluffs Boulevard. Police said the man reached in a cash register drawer and stole a handful of cash. As an employee and a customer tried to stop him, the man pulled out a fish filet knife that was also stolen from the store. Police said employees were able to get the suspect’s license plate number, which helped lead his his arrest.

Riverside Drive

Police continue to investigate a June 7 burglary at a home on Riverside Drive. Police said an unknown suspect pried open the victim’s back door and stole
jewelry.

Fenpark Drive

Police continue to investigate a June 7 report of a stolen air conditioning unit at
Phoenix printing in the 1700 block of Fenpark Drive. Police said the unit was stolen sometime overnight.

Bowles Avenue

Two people were arrested May 30 for stealing a car and drug possession at the Motel 6 in the 1800 block of Bowles Avenue. Police said one of the suspect's mother told police that her son and his friend had stolen a car and were possibly staying at the motel. Police located the the two, and the stolen car, at the Motel 6. During a search heroin and drug paraphernalia were found in the hotel room, police said.
