Bad Check is Bad News for High Ridge Business
A High Ridge business lost out on more than $4,000 after a customer issued a bad check last week, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.
The High Ridge Boulevard business was contacted by their bank after a check for $4,217.50 bounced due to insufficient funds. Police were unable to contact the suspect because "multiple false contact numbers" were given for the individual, according to the report.
