Air Conditioner Parts, Construction Tools Target of Thefts

The following information was provided by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department.

Hunning Road, High Ridge

A red, 18-foot utility trailer containing scrap air conditioner parts was stolen May 8 or May 9 from a home on Hunning Road in High Ridge. The value of the property was set at $1,000. The victim, who owns a heating and cooling business, said the trailer had been parked on the side of his residence. Deputies inquired about the missing trailer and parts at a local scrap dealer but discovered none of the items.

Raven Point Drive, High Ridge

Deputies were called to a home on Raven Point Ridge May 8 to investigate a property damage complaint where a garage door was forced open and knocked off its tracks and a backyard chain-link fence was knocked over. The damage was estimated to be $1,000

Caroline Drive, High Ridge

A white male wearing a black jacket with white striped sleeves, black pants, a black CiCi's Pizza hat turned backward, approximately 5-foot-9 with a thin build and wearing a black mask got away with $200 in cash from the Petromart on Caroline Drive in High Ridge in an early morning robbery on May 8. The store clerk said the man entered the store and grabbed a beer from a display, then returned the beer to the display, returning to the checkout counter and displaying a small firearm. Pointing the gun at the clerk, the robber told her to fill a small plastic bag with the contents of the cash register. The clerk complied and the robber fled on foot toward the Capetown subdivision. Deputies canvassed the neighborhood, to no avail. The beer can was seized as evidence.

Harbor Hill Drive, Fenton

A Bobcat auger and two auger bits valued at $4,000 were stolen sometime between April 27 and May 6 from a construction site on Harbor Hill Drive, in Fenton. The victim said the items were in a storage area called "the boneyard" where they turned up missing

Mt. Everest Drive, Fenton

Freon coils from an air conditioning unit at an apartment complex on Mt. Everest Drive, in Fenton, were cut away from the unit May 2 by a man who was chased away by an employee before he could steal the coils. The coils had an estimated value of $1,400. A witness identified the suspect as someone who lives in the apartment complex.

Robindale Drive, Fenton

Deputies responded to an assault call May 2 on Robindale Drive in Fenton where a mother-daughter conflict got out of control. The daughter told deputies her mother punched her in the face and shoved her head against a wall three or four times. After the daughter pushed her away, the mother then allegedly grabbed her daughter by the hair and bit her leg before falling into a bathtub. The fight continued with the mother hitting her daughter in the face with a hairbrush and elbowing her in the face before sitting on her and choking her until she could not breathe. The mother was arrested on assault charges.
