Bob Boyer and the Republican Party

Is Bob Boyer really concerned about Jeff. County or is it a political thing?

As part of the Central Committee, I have observed some things that I wonder about.  Why do we keep Bob Boyer on the Committee when he is obviously opposed to the Republican party?  Why do we have closed meetings just to have Bob Boyer show up with his dogs and ponies to disrupt and argue with Central Committee members?  Why is Bob Boyer still a part of the Republican party in Jefferson County when he denounced his support of the party and became the Chair for Ron Paul (Libertarian) against Republicans at the Caucus?  Why is he still the Chair of the Council in Jefferson County?

Chair Boyer has done very little to improve the circumstances in our community.  Instead, he causes infighting within the Council, he insults people, he tries to shut the people down by diminishing their ability to speak at both work sessions and Council meetings, he comes up with legislation that will make unwelcome broad changes in a very powerful document that controls property rights for everyone in Jeffco.  If these changes are put into place, there will be serious repercussions for businesses and residents throughout the County.  They would hand more power to the local Government.  Is this what we want?  Boyer's changes will cause homeowners and property owners more costs.  Instead of easier processes to transfer property to children or other family members, there will be more red tape and more costs.  Is this what we want?

In my opinion, Mr. Boyer does not act as a mature leader of the Council.  He is childish to say the least.  He shows his anger, he tells his fellow Council Members how much they disgust him because they are trying to do the right thing as opposed to his political agenda.  It is a shame that he has an entire County that will pay the price for his lack of knowledge and concern for what the people want - less government, less costs and less red tape.

Mr. Boyer, your changes on the UDO will cost residents more, they will cause the people in Jefferson County more red tape.  Those same people will have to come before Planning and Zoning for the "little things".  More and more paperwork will have to be filed and more permissions will have to be granted by the government.  What are you doing?  Do you even know the consequences of such broach changes to the UDO?  As has been brought up in the Council meeting, you have not even consulted with established experts in Jeff. County.  As you have done numerous times, you rule from the bench and if you run into opposition, you insult that opposition, you try to silence them and work to diminish their expertise.

You were right about ONE thing in your push for a non-partisan vote on the ballot.  If we had vetted our candidates like you want, many Jefferson County residents would not have voted for you.
