A Good Day in Jefferson County

Some Great Results in Jefferson County Races Today

There was so much good news in Jefferson County today.

First, Linda Schroeder and Jim Terry both won their races for the Big River Ambulance District with Jim getting 831 votes and Linda winning with 802 votes. This is a perfect example of how our group of Jefferson County Patriots are changing the County with hard work, determination, perserverance and a willingness to all work together.  In the past, we have lost some races because there are people in leadership roles that worked behind the scenes to block our progress.  Why you ask would you want to do that to people that are trying so hard to provide a better community for everyone?  Maybe it's loss of control, maybe it's because we were not willing to play the games behind closed doors, who knows, but this kind of politics is not good for the people of Jefferson County today and it's definitely not good for the future. We are aware of this fact and so we have set out to change the leadership by getting great candidates elected, being truthful and eliminating the mentality of dirty politics within our own party.  Congratulations Jim and Linda, we are all the benefactors of your win today.

Second, the run for Mayor in Arnold ended as I knew it would.  The people of Arnold spoke.  They don't want someone sitting outside their house watching their every move.  Businesses don't want their local politicians trying to put them out of business, harrassing their employees and their customers.  The people of Arnold don't want their tax money wasted, we have enough of this in Washington.  You cannot bully people into believing what you believe, you only show yourself to be unwilling to work with others whether or not they agree with you.  You cannot insult, deride and belittle anyone that debates you.  People see this and will dismiss you as they did in the run for the Mayor of Arnold.  Ron Counts pretty much pummeled Doris Borgelt 2036 to 922, over a 2 to 1 margin. Not surprising!  Even with the support of Bob Boyer, she lost; this does not speak well for Bobo in his future race for the Council.

So the day was great and the people of Jefferson County get it.  They actually understand the differences of people that really care about the County and other people that only want to play politics, have an agenda and waste our time.
