It's the Tea Party's Fault! Finger Pointing in Washington

Politicians have been gone against the will of the American people and have no one to blame but ... The Tea Party.

The political system of America is the greatest in the world. Our founders knew that while they couldn't make all of the people happy all of the time, they could make a way of life for the American people that they could enjoy and live freely. This is why they created our system of democracy and checks and balances, based on the idea that the will of the people would be heard by their government and carried out and monitored by powers that would work to protect the American people's investment in their nation. With this system it was hoped that representatives would "represent" their nation, their state, and their voters in a suitable way.

Unfortunately this is not how things always work out. The 2008 election was a perfect example. The majority of Americans elected a president who represents only the liberal left, which is 21 percent of the population according to a recent Gallup poll. In 2006 the people spoke out against the indebted Bush administration with their votes, electing a Democratic majority to congress, but when our current president took office, so few Americans were represented by our government that the 2010 mid-term election cycle was one of the most popular cycles in ages, seeing a change of power in the house only two years into the Obama administration and four years into Speaker Pelosi's House rule. Such an expedient change of power after a purposeful shift in D.C. party politics shows a swelling anger in the bellies of the American people. As this fire spreads through America's bowels, the right is seeing a ground swell of grassroots movement.

The 21 percent of the population that aligns itself with leftist idealism is angry too. After such a celebration of victory was handed to them, it was just as quickly snatched away. The Tea Party, which now outnumbers the liberal movement at 22% of the population (according to the same Gallup poll), is moving hard against the government, having put many of our freshmen congressmen in their seats in 2010. The truly wonderful thing is that many of these freshmen hold themselves accountable to the Tea Party and are not interested in wheeling and dealing in the Beltway. Their districts voted them in to replace Democrats and RINOs (Republican In Name Only), and it is well understood that no seat is safe from the voting populous.

The left is touting now that the Tea Party is responsible for the loss of our AAA credit rating, and RINO Laura Ingraham blames Sarah Palin. Obama, of course, claims he inherited all this trouble. As they all stand around pointing fingers, Sarah Palin said it most appropriately, "I told you so!" While I am completely paraphrasing that, it was in a note posted to her Facebook on August 8th that she laid out for her critics the various times over the last year that she warned of the coming "storm." Governor Palin has been sounding the alarm for a couple of years now. She heralded the pseudo-apocalyptic warning to the jeers of the left who now seek to blame her and the Tea Party, both of whom foresaw this present destruction.

This is one of those times when it's best kept simple, "Listen to your Mom!" Sarah Palin is the mother of five beautiful children, was a city councilwoman, mayor, and governor of Alaska, this all involves a lot of budgeting and dealing with monetary values, credit and investment. The downgrade being blamed on Palin or the Tea Party is akin to a child stealing a credit card and blaming their mother who taught them better. The Left essentially has stolen America's Visa and is now blaming those who told them "Stop! That's not a wise decision!" In the end, the Tea Party is acting as a police force, and in 2012 the ballot box will play judge and jury.

Last May, as Sarah reminds us, she gave a speech in California:

"The federal government has failed you. Their reckless spending and destruction of the dollar will make access to available credit for farmers and small business owners harder to get. And it will make transportation costs higher because it will hit everyone at the gas pump. You see, because the Obama White House won’t let us drill domestically, we’re forced to import oil that we pay for in dollars. So, when the value of the dollar drops, the price of gas goes up."

It's hard to blame those who warned you, but Obama, like most spoiled children, needs to make his own mistakes.

The Tea Party's whole goal in even existing is to warn us! How then does this get pinned on it? My favorite term during the debt ceiling debate was the "Do Nothing Party." The group that shouted to Washington not to raise the debt ceiling, but to cut spending and decrease the deficit. I have to agree that is a great idea! S & P agrees too, that is why it offered to raise the credit rating if our government would decrease the deficit. It would seem to an intelligent person that if the key is to lower the debt, raising the ceiling might only increase the problem! A shame there aren't more intelligent people in Washington, but between Boehner, Reid, and Obama we have about as much Brain Power as Nancy Pelosi has morals ... Not saying much! The all too familiar monologues of the three stooges haunt my mind during these dealings for a reason.

As it stands now the Democrats have made it clear that there are no plans to pay the electric bill in Washington, but rather to seek credit cards to relieve the stress until they get the spending spree out of their system, or the system gets them out of Washington. They'd rather blame the previous administration, the Tea Party, or ... of course, Sarah Palin. In the meantime, Americans have become as detached from their government as politicians have become from us. The business end of this doesn't bode well for the White House or Capitol Hill as they stare down the barrel of America's 20-12-gauge without so much as blinking. Liberty longs for the day that our nation cheers for the ousting of this president, his senate, and all the RINOs and liberals in Washington D.C.

Our nation will be free from the hold of tyranny once again, for the second time in 236 years: November 2012!
