Brenden's Friday Backpack Program

My name is Vicki Tamboli, I have started a program in schools in Jefferson county, its called a Friday Backpack Program, we have found that children mostly those recieving Free or Reduced meals at school go home on Friday or the last day of the school week to bare pantires at home. These children have no food to eat until they return to school on Monday morning for breakfast. We pack a backpack (wal mart) bag with 3 meals plus a snack and juice for each day they are not in school. At this time we are asking for food donations the foods we use are

Jiff on the go peanut butter

cans pasta

easy mac

ramen noodles

soups

tuna kits

chicken kits

Pop tarts

Breakfast bars

single serv cereal packs

Pudding

Cheese crackers

Fruit cups

Juice
