I have been doing some studio work lately and thought I would share this photo of Mia, who is one year old today.
When shooting children you have about a 15 to 30 minute window to get the shot. Mia was all over the place. She would not sit still. Lizzy, her mother had to keep picking her up and putting her back under the light. She is a character.
I shot about 60 photos in a few different outfits, and this photo is the one we chose to represent her on her first year of life.

The photo was shot on a white backdrop with a hotshoe flash mounted on an 18 inch beauty ring.
The camera and equipment used was a Canon 5D Mark III, Canon 580EX II Flash, Canon EF 70-200mm Lens.

Camera settings: ISO 640, focal length 105mm, Shutter speed 1/125 sec, aperture F/4
Software: Adobe Lightroom 4, Photoshop CS6, Alien Skin Exposure, and NIK Color Efex Pro.
I am also including a picture of her mother, which is 3 stages of her pregnancy with Mia.
