Black and White Portraits

Ferd's Entries in the 7th Annual The International Black and White Spider Awards

Here are a few black and white portraits that I've entered into 7th Annual The International Black and White Spider Awards.

I've entered 2 into the Portraits category one ito the Silhoutte Category, and one into the Fine Art Category.

I like the way each one of these photos tell their own story, which can be left to the viewer to expand on.

Check out photos that have won and placed in the past:  http://www.thespiderawards.com/

Nice. I especially like the hallway shot. It reminds me of a tunnel we have in Chicago connecting a few office buildings.

I'm glad I discovered you on Patch. I'm a big fan of b/w photos, and am impressed with your work. Not that I'm in the market to buy anything; our walls are filled. But I do enjoy looking at good photography. Thanks for posting.

I especially like the guy at the steering wheel saying something to someone behind him. He looks really strong and expressive.

Hi Ferd, I just found this story on the Patch. They're beautiful - are they drawings? I would love for you to do a portrait for me, but are you expensive? (I'm sorry I have to ask that question). Please let me know. Thank you

Is the one lady actually Geena Davis or a very similar look-a-like?

Nice work Ferd and that's coming from an art major (LOL). I am partial to Luke's photo or the photo shown before the man with the saxophone. Best of luck!
