Big Dogs, Little Dogs, Stray Rescue Dogs

Paintings of "man's best friend"

I am a dog lover. I have had dogs my whole life. Big dogs, little dogs, full breeds mixed breeds. I loved them all. I occasionally do paintings of dogs. All of the paintings are based on my photographs. Some are painted digitally in Corel Painter, an amazing application, and others are painted with acrylics. Sometimes I get commissioned to do them, other times they are gifts, and more important, I have donated paintings of rescued dogs for Stray Rescue fundraiser auctions.

Stray Rescue is a non profit organization that has been doing an incredible job in the city of St. Louis for free and is desperate need for funding to upgrade their facilities. Last week a committee of aldermen in St. Louis voted against giving Stray Rescue a quarter million in funding, claiming Stray Rescue didn't qualify for parochial and political reasons. This issue will be reviewed again in September when session resumes. Stray Rescue deserves this funding. There is no other organization that is so well qualified and deserving of this funding. You can support Stray Rescue by contacting your city alderman.
