Highway W/MM Citizens Task Force monthly meeting

The Task Force is about improving our roads in northwestern
Jefferson County and making them safer.  We have made much progress as
evidenced by recent improvements to Highways 30, MM and the significant,
in-work, improvements to Highway W.  We are also about other ways to make
the roads safer.  We provide updates on these and other road projects at
the meetings and other info on local interest.  Our attendees include
MoDOT and Jefferson County highway engineers, the county executive or his representative,
state legislators, Congressional representatives, Northwest R1 school officials
and local fire, EMS, and law enforcement representatives.  They provide
brief updates of any information that may be of interest to all of us.  We
have an interesting speaker each month.  This month it is Chief John
Newsome of the Antonia Fire Protection District.  He will be speaking
about fire safety month.  Previous speakers have included our Congressman,
State Legislators, County Executive, the Sheriff, MoDOT and Jefferson County
Highway Dept. managers, and many others.

As much as anything, the meetings give you a chance to
mingle with these people after the meeting to discuss issues or concerns of
interest to you.
