Terrazza Grill: Old Time Cooking with an Italian Accent

Terrazza Grill, the first Lombrado family restaurant to venture south, brings its tradtion of Italian- American food served at reasonable prices to the Arnold Crossroads Center.

Terrazza Grill is built on tradition, a restaurant tradition established in 1934 by the Lombardo family.

Terrazza Grill is the fifth operation for the Lombardo family and its first venture into Arnold. Located about a block west of Jeffco Boulevard on Hwy 141,Terrazza Grill is easy to spot. Its exterior is reminiscent of a neo-Tuscan-style villa built with an eye-catching stone façade.

Inside the décor is contemporary with vintage St Louis photographs serving as wall art. The open dining room is sectioned by partial partitions that provide an intimate feel and a limited room view, except of the bar area where several flat screens are discreetly placed to catch the game.

Service is swift yet unrushed giving plenty of time to review the extensive menu that has a definite Italian accent, beginning with antipasto. Antipasto picks are the venerable toasted ravioli and the crabmeat and cognac sauced Stuffed Portobello Mushroom.

Burgers and paninos (sandwiches) are plated with steak fries or slaw.  House-made pizzas offer several topping combos one could consider gourmet, such as the Shrimp Scampi Pizza. Tortellini, fettuccine, penne and linguini pastas are red or white sauce tossed while the lasagna and cannelloni is dished up generously sauced and cheese garnished.

Bistecca (steaks) are all hand-cut USDA choice rib eyes, strips and tenderloins are grilled and dressed with steak butter, provolone or a Gorgonzola sauce. Purists can order their steaks plain. Non-beef entrees number six - three chicken, two seafood and one pork tenderloin. Menu standouts are the Old Time Specials that include Linguine Meatballs and the Fried Shrimp Platter. Old Time Specials are well portioned and priced under $12.

Best buy is the $7.99 lunch specials comprised of a short list of pastas, sandwiches and salads.  Lunch and dinner prices start at $7.99 for toasted ravioli and tops out at $22.75 for the 16-ounce rib eye.
