Rummaging with Jefferson County Genealogists

The Jefferson County Genealogical Society raises money for Northwest Library's Heritage Quest Online Database with a second annual parking lot rummage sale.

This Saturday, the Jefferson County Genealogical Society held their second annual rummage sale fundraiser in the Northwest Library parking lot. The sale was a great success, raising $1140 for the continued use of the Heritage Quest online database at the library. The money raised covers half of the database cost for the year. The other half is being funded by Friends of the Library.

The Jefferson County Genealogical Society meets at the Northwest branch. This month they welcome outside speaker, Tom Pearson, who will be presenting "He's a Rebel: Researching Confederate Soldiers & Regiments" at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 16.
