Last Chance to File Your Income Taxes
Those who wait until the last minute to file their returns actually have a couple of additional days to get them in the mail.
April 15 came and went this year vwithout the late night computing by those who save their income tax filing chores until the last minute. This year, the filing deadline is Tuesday 17.
The change is due to Internal Revenue Service guideline that the filing deadline not be on a Saturday, Sunday or holiday. And since April 16 is a holiday in Washington D.C. (Emancipation Day), that pushed the filing deadlinbe to Tuesday.
The new deadline means that taxpayers have a last chance to finish their paperwork and file their taxes for the 2011 tax year.

Taxpayers may want to check with any of the local tax preparers just in case they have an opening in their schedule on tax deadline day. Here are some options:
