I-270 Work to Add Traffic on Hwy. 141 for 6 Weeks

MoDOT suggests drivers use Hwy. 141 to drive around I-270 roadwork between Gravois Road and the I-44 interchange.

Motorists using northbound Interstate 270 should expect commuting delays as crews work on the road between Gravois Road and Interstate 44.

Crews created work zones on I-270, reduced lane widths, installed a barrier wall and shifted lanes on Saturday.

The speed limit in the work zone will fall to 45 mph from 60 mph for about six weeks as crews work on the road.

All I-270 lanes will be open during heavy weekday traffic but drivers should expect shorter merge lanes, exit and entrance ramps to I-44 and I-270.

On weekends, only two northbound I-270 lanes will be open between Gravois Road and Cragwold, MoDOT said in a news release.
