Fenton DeMolay Picks Up State Awards

Progression Chapter, of Fenton, receives a variety of honors at a Missouri DeMolay meeting

The Progression Chapter of Missouri DeMolay, of Fenton, recently travelled to Jefferson City to attend the 2011 State Conclave.  During the trip seven boys competed in various sporting events against fellow members from other Missouri chapters, including basketball, volleyball, billiards, bowling and track and field.  There also was a tug of war among the other Missouri DeMolay chapters, which resulted in a third place award for the Progression DeMolay. The group also brought home several other Ritual events trophies.

During a Sunday evening DeMolay ceremony, Michael Singer, the master councilor and past master councilor of Progression Chapter, was presented with the Grand Commanders Youth Award for outstanding service to his chapter, school and community.  Only one DeMolay youth is presented the award each year.

In addition, Caitlyn Washington, a past honored queen from Bethel 43 and Progression’s Chapter Sweetheart, was crowned as the Missouri DeMolay Associate State Sweetheart.  She will travel the state representing the Progression Chapter and Missouri DeMolay for the next year.
