Music and Crafts On Tap Tuesday

Here are some things you need to know today.

Good Morning Fenton and High Ridge!

Music, music, music:  Elementary middle and high school orchestras and the high school symphonic and concert orchestras will entertain today at Rockwood Summit High School. The times of the performances are:

6:30 p.m.:

7:45 p.m.:

Crafty at the Library:  The Northwest Branch of the Jefferson County Library is busy today with two classes, on for adults and one for teens. At 10 a.m. there is a pre-school story time that includes reading, singing, dancing and craft making. attendees are encouraged to bring a show and tell item. Later in the day, from 1 to 3 p.m., the adult crafters will take over with their weekly Tuesday craft meeting. New crafters are welcome but should be advised that no craft materials are provided at the meeting so you must bring your own. At 7 p.m., the bleach pens will come out as a Teen Bleach Designs class will be held. Participants need to bring a black or dark-colored shirt to use.

Dubious Achievement: On this date in 1983, someone named Donald Davis ran a mile backwards in 6 minutes, 7.1 seconds. Who knew?  It turns out there's a whole website devoted to running backwards records, as well as the trusty Guinness Book of World Records.

Weather Watch:  It'll be breezy Tuesday but sunny most of the day with the high temperature expected to hit 55 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
